Bright red lips are bold and super-sexy, full stop. If you`re a virgin, start by using glossy, sheer reds and work your way up to sock-it-to-him reds.

* For the perfect lip line, use a neutral lip crayon, but don`t stop there-use it fill in as well. Then add your lipstick on top. This tactic means, are your lip colour wears off, you`re not left with a hard outline.
* When you`re using really bright red, don`t make the cupid`s bow too perfect-it can be a touch too Mini Mouse. Knock the peaks of your upper lip down a bit for a more rounded, luscious result.
* If you have thin lips, red lipstick can make them look thinner. The solution is to apply it, blot it and then add lots of gloss on top, making sure you add the most shine to the centre of the bottom lip.
* Don`t match nail colour to lipstick-it looks tacky. Instead, go for a darker shade(use a wine colour as a base with a bright red on top).
